Carpenter – Full Time

St Catherine's School, Toorak has an opportunity for a Trade qualified Carpenter to join our Property and Services team on an ongoing full time basis. About the Role The Carpenter works as part of the School’s Property and Services Team to assist with the general carpentry and day to day maintenance of the School buildings, grounds and gardens as well as a broad range of tasks as directedResponsibilities include: General Carpentry tasks including, but not limited to; joinery, repairing furniture, timber framing, hanging doors and other wooden fixtures using hand tools and power toolsProvide support with construction of sets and props for School ProductionsAssist with function set upsCompletion of proactive and reactive maintenance of School gardens, grounds and buildings in a timely manner Skills & Experience Required:Trade Carpentry qualification and up to date knowledge of building practicesDemonstrated Carpentry and/or general facility maintenance experience with knowledge/understanding of building services systemsCurrent Elevated Work Platform qualification and White CardDemonstrated level of fitness to perform physical requirements of the roleCompetent in the use of computer technologyCurrent Full Drivers licence is essentialWillingness to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police CheckHow to Apply Applications close 5.00pm Friday 15th OctoberFor more information, please contact Human Resources Manager via hr@stcatherines.net.au   or visit our School website www.stcatherines.net.auPlease apply via our website http://www.stcatherines.net.au/employment/ addressing your cover letter and resume to the Principal or click the link below.St Catherine’s School is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children by providing a child safe environment.
