Head of Junior School

Following the retirement of Mrs Alana Moor at the end of 2018 after 11 years’ of outstanding service, St Catherine’s School is seeking a Head of Junior School to commence in Term 1, 2019.About the Role The Head of Junior School is a key leadership role in the School and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Junior School, including academic and co-curricular programs, staff and student management, parent and student liaison.Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Junior School will provide leadership and be an effective role model for staff and students.Key Selection Criteria The ideal candidate will demonstrate;Exceptional leadership capabilities and demonstrated success leading teams in the independent education sector,Proven experience in directing, managing, and developing Junior School educational programs and initiatives, preferably within the Independent Schools sectorTertiary level Primary Education qualifications and Post graduate level qualifications in Education and/or managementExtensive knowledge of Junior School Curriculum and pedagogical theories and practicesProven management experience including management of budgets, staff, curriculum development and strategic planningDemonstrated high level experience in ICT applications to learning and developmentA demonstrated understanding of the particular learning styles, social and emotional needs of student developmentDemonstrated skills in the management of parent/school relationshipsApplicants must have current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration, or equivalentHow to Apply To find out more about this role, including a position description and selection criteria and to apply, please visit our website: www.stcatherines.net.au/staff  addressing your cover letter and resume to the Principal.Enquiries can be directed to our HR Manager, Cassie Monahan via 9822 1285 or applications@stcatherines.net.auApplications close 4pm Monday 27 August.Head of Junior School AUD Australia - VIC Melbourne - All locations Toorak 3142
