This term time only position offers the chance to make a significant impact on our athletic programs while maintaining a balanced work schedule.The Head of Athletics plays a pivotal role in fostering and enhancing athletic opportunities for our students across the Girls Sport Victoria (GSV) and School Sport Victoria (SSV) Carnival Sport programs, which include Cross Country, Track & Field, and Triathlon for students from Grade 5 to Year 12. This role involves not only developing and managing these programs but also inspiring a culture of excellence and participation.Additionally, the Head of Athletics oversees the Athlete Development Academy, providing strategic leadership, administration, and management to ensure the program's success. The Academy serves as a pathway for aspiring student-athletes, offering comprehensive support through strength and conditioning programs, athlete education, and continuous development opportunities.The successful applicant will recruit, lead, and manage a team of coaches, ensuring that the program is staffed with professionals dedicated to the development of student-athletes. To be successful in this opportunity you will require: Previous experience working in a High-Performance Sport Program including experience in athletics, exercise programming and a contextual knowledge of school sportDemonstrated ability to analyse a sport in relation to the team and/or the athlete’s strength and conditioning needsStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent ICT skills with the ability to use ICT to support School programs as well as administration practicesHigh level written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively and supportively within a team environmentExcellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to establish a good rapport with students, staff and parentsA genuine passion for SportPolice Record CheckWorking with Children Check or registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching Minimum Level 2 First aid qualification  Why work for us? Fantastic opportunity to work in a highly regarded independent school in Toorak.Integrated professional learning teams with learning coachesCollaborative and supportive team environment.Access to professional development.Onsite parking available and close to public transport.
