Lead Roles – Rowing Program

Leading Roles in the St Catherine’s School Rowing Program – Part Time PositionsSt Catherine’s School, Toorak, is one of Australia’s leading independent girls’ schools, fostering in students curiosity, perseverance, integrity and empathy.The School is seeking experienced rowing professionals for its highly successful Rowing Program to start in July 2021.We wish to fill a number of Part Time leading roles throughout the junior (year 9), intermediate (year 10) and senior (years 11 and 12) programs.   Functions of the available roles may include, but are not limited to:Coaching key crews throughout the program;Performing administrative tasks to support the Head of Rowing;Liaising and supporting the Head of Rowing and the First Eight Coach;Supporting and delivering the strength and conditioning sessions;Attending on-water training sessions at Mercantile Rowing Club on the Yarra River;Attending on-land training sessions at the School in Toorak; andMinor boat and equipment repairs, rigging boats and oars, driving trailers and otherwise supporting the Head of Rowing with logistics and equipment maintenance.To be successful to interview, the applicant will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a school setting, as well as demonstrating the following:Previous experience as a rowing coach in either sweep or sculling boats;Level 1 NCAS Rowing Accreditation (or higher);Available to start in July 2021Boat licence; andCurrent Working with Children Check or VIT equivalent.Applicants will ideally have:Experience working in a school rowing environment;Experience in rowing as an athlete or coach at club, state or national level;A track record of success; andA light rigid bus license.Please apply by clicking the link below and ensure you include a current resume and cover letter addressing the key selection criteria listed above.Applications close by Friday 14th MayFor any further information on the role, please email St Catherine's Head of Rowing via bcarlile@stcatherines.net.au St Catherine’s School is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children by providing a child safe environment.
