About St Catherine's School
St Catherine's is a vibrant, close-knit community where students, teachers, and parents share in the journey of learning. We have magnificent teachers who are great activators of change for girls and who enhance their students' learning though the provision of a stimulating, tailored and future-focused education.
Established in 1896, St Catherine's School's reputation as a leader in girls' education, for well over a century, is based on our readiness to embrace innovation. Our goals are in keeping with our founders’ original aim to prepare students for life; not only through education but also empowering girls to take ownership of their learning through active participation and engagement in School academic and co-curricular programs.
Our School's proud reputation for academic excellence, exceptional teachers, a supportive community, outstanding co-curricular programs, and well-equipped facilities has placed St Catherine’s School as one of the top performing schools across Victoria for years. However, our greatest achievement is the quality of character our students exhibit.
St Catherine's is committed to building and retaining a strong workforce of dedicated teachers and professional staff who can create an environment of best practice. Our aim is to be a truly inclusive, and caring school where both students and staff are supported and encouraged to flourish in the St Catherine’s School environment.
About the Role
Rowing at St Catherine's School is about more than competition - it reflects our values of resilience, teamwork, and personal growth. Since its establishment in 1987, the program has been a proud part of Australia's schoolgirl rowing tradition, based at Mercantile Rowing Club on the Yarra River.
Known for developing technical skills and strong team spirit, our crews have achieved success at state, national, and international levels, including multiple Head of the Schoolgirls titles and a historic win at the Henley Royal Regatta in 2022. Supported by the school and parent community, the program nurtures students to thrive both on and off the water.
St Catherine's School is seeking expressions of interest for casual rowing coaches to support the success of the 2026/27 rowing program.
